El professor de traducció de la UVIC-UCC, Ronald Puppo , va triar el poema «Plus Ultra» com a pretext per a la cloenda del <Primer Congrés Internacional sobre Revitalització de les Llengües Indígenes Minoritzades> que es va tancar el divendres 21 d'abril a l'Aula Magna de la Universitat de Vic.
[Traveller of words] So this idea, this project, of going beyond the boundaries, or what we thought were the boundaries, to catch a glimpse of all worlds, all the living Language communities, beyond what we thought were the boundaries. This idea is encapsulated, beautifully, in the short poem “Plus Ultra”, or going beyond, written by the towering figure of the nineteenth-century Catalan renaissance, Jacint Verdaguer (Fragment del text llegit per Ronald Puppo).
El poema <Plus Ultra> va ser llegit en català per Carme Torrents, en anglès pel mateix professor, en la traducció hawaiana per les doctores Makalapua Alencastre i Ku Kahakalau i també traduït al Twi, un dialecte de la llengua àkan, per la doctora ghanesa Nana Ama Agyeman.
